Where do street dogs live and How can you help them

The dogs who are free and live on the streets of a city are known as street dogs. This term is especially used for dogs who live in an urban area. There are two kinds of street dogs: those who were once pets and abandoned and the others are federal ones. Those dogs have not lived in a house even once. They grew up on the streets.

The breed of these dogs are normally of different kinds. Such as mix and land races. Sometimes you will find some pure breeds on the streets also.

You will find street dogs in almost every country but they are most likely to exist in developing countries. India has the most quantity of street dogs such as around 60 million of street dogs exist in India. Almost every country has them but South Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America have the most quantity of street dogs.

You might think that they live on the streets so they do not need any attention or extra care. But these types of dogs are most likely to get into severe health conditions.

They can get diseases as likely as the pet dogs. These dogs do not get good nutrition. Because they do not have anything healthy to eat. The street dogs survive completely on the food from trash cans. They eat leftover fast food as well as pizza crust, et cetera.

There are younger dogs who do not get enough food so they become weak. Some other times the dogs. Eat toxic foods and disturb their bowel movements. Such as leftover bones, et cetera.

Another common disease in dogs is skin conditioning. The street dogs are most likely to develop skin mites. They can get fleas too. Due to the poor diet the dogs can experience hair loss and itchiness. Another kind of secondary skin condition is common in street dogs.

There are many positive things that you can do for the street dogs. You can take them to the vet and have them diagnosed. As well as give them the right medication so they do not develop any other kind of conditions. Or there are housing facilities which keep street dogs off the street. You can send them to these houses.

Another great thing you can do for the sweet dogs is to adopt them or help them get a new home. Where they will find love and care again. There are some charitable facilities that work for street dogs. You can always take them there.

Sweet dogs breed and reproduce freely. These charitable organisations help neutralise them so they cannot reproduce any free walking animals.
